Deb Grise


Self-taught artist, Deb Grise, developed her painting skills first with watercolour and then with oils.  Her style is contemporary impressionism for both the larger studio pieces and the smaller plein air works that will always be a favourite part of her life adventure as an artist.  Her tips and techniques have been featured in current on-line publications (ArtWise) and Deb's work has been recognised in juried shows and competitions (The Art Magazine).

Deb has exhibited in well-known shows such as Toronto Art Expo, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition at Nathan Phillips Square, as well as many summer outdoor art festivals including those in Markham, Waterloo, Fenelon Falls, Collingwood and Toronto.  Her work is found in private collections in Ireland, France, Sierra Leone, The Netherlands, Greece, the United States, and across Canada.

Deb has been involved in the artist community for many years, serving as the chair for the Coldwater Studio Tour and the Bay Studio Tour, as well as team member for the Quest Art in the Park.

She also ran her private art gallery in Penetanguishene before moving to Barrie.

Deb  now lives and works in Barrie and continues to be involved in the local artist community, offerering classes, workshops, volunteer time and participating in organized art events and tours.
